My Game.

In class we have been coding, I have been coding on Gamefroot. Gamefroot is a site when you code your very own game. I have created a background, chosen a character ad coded the character to move right, left, up and down. I have also added lava pits and kumara. I found it easy to choose a background but I found it really hard to code my player. Kylah helped me. I think I am finished my game. Do you agree? What did you enjoy about my game? What changes do you think I could make?

My June Reflection.

In class I did my june reflection. I have not so done I match reflection and another one. I also had another buddy but she had to go with someone else. 
What I found challenging. To finish it on time.
My favourite part was snow flakes on the side of the June.
What I found interesting. Was that we did so much in half a year!

Maths.

In class we have been learning about financial literacy,financial literacy means to learn about money.   We had someone called callum teach us about it from the ASB  get wise, We also made up some jobs that we would do, to get the money that we need. When I say jobs I mean like running a lemonade stand or mowing some one's law. What I found challenging. Was to take a photo. My favourite part, was to write my reflection.What I found interesting. Was that how they make money is just like printing a piece of paper out!!!




 

 

The stars of matariki.

In class we were doing a slide about matariki. Matarik is 9 stars in the sky. have you ever made a slide about matarik?  What was your favourite part? What did you like most about it? My side was the last slide, The people that I shared the slide with were Jakob R, Amelia, Olivia, Aimie, And me.

My favourite part. Was my writing.

What I found challenging. Was to read the story and then write it down.

What I found interesting. I thought there were seven stars but there is 9.

I was learning to. Compare and contrast.

This is my invitation for my Mum and Dad, I made it because it is the student-led conference. The student-led conference is something when you show your parents you're learning, I am going to show my parents my blog, A  blog is what you are on now. On my invitation it says the time the date also who it is for. It is also a great opportunity to show your parents your learning.

I was learning to understand how to shape texts for different purposes and audiences.

What I found tricky. To do the outlining with black paint without going over the other colours.

My favourite part. was the shading.

Art

Tom Fedro an artist and he lives in Chicago, in America. 

Learning Intention: WALT use painting techniques.
Success Criteria: Use painting techniques.
We have used: 
  • Long brush strokes
  • Both sides of the paint brush
  • Bright colours
  • Bold lines

Tints and shades to show light direction.


About the artist (Tom Fedro)

Tom's real name is Thomas.

Tom lives and works in Wheeling which is just out of Chicago and he lives with his son Jordan.

He is an abstract / pop artist.

He owned his own art gallery but now he just sells to them.

His art sells from $400 - $6,000


What I enjoyedI enjoyed the part when I did the eyes because I like to challenge myself.

What I found easy  - was the shading because all you do is add more white every time.

What I found tricky - I found it tricky to paint the outline black without going over my other colours.

What I would change next time is my reflection so that it is not the same.

The process I did was:  We had drawn a picture in pencil then we did our shading without going over the lines, then we coloured in the outline with black paint and then we did our eyes. Then we shaded the hair with colours making light to dark by adding white to colours to make them lighter. This inspired me because I like doing art and I liked the colours in this artists work.

Measurement Tasks.

In class we have been learning to measure things. We had to have a buddy and my buddy was Aimie. My brand new learning was knowing my popliteal length.

What I found challenging. My popliteal length.

My favourite part. Was that we had buddies.

What is the life cycle of a butterfly and bee.

I was learning to: I was using a diagram to help my reader understand. A diagram is a drawing or plan that shows the parts of something or how the parts work together. My success criteria was to use a diagram, label my diagram .and also explain my diagram.

 What I found challenging: To write all of the writing in time.

My favourite part was the be and the butterfly backgrounds.

What I found interesting. Was that bees had five eyes.

Perseus.

This week I read a story about Perseus and Mediua. Perseus was a Greek demigod and Medusa was a gorgon which is a monster. She had snakes in her hair. Perseus had to chop off Medusa's head to save his mother.

I was learning to infer. Infer means reading between the lines and finding the answer from the text. I had to infer what type of person Perseus was and give evidence from the text saying what made me think that. I found it hard because I didn't get it right the first time. I wrote what happened in the story and  I didn't describe if he was brave or something. Aimie helped me get it right.

What I found challenging. Was my drawing.

My favourite part. Was the rainbow background.

How rainbows are formed?

A rainbow is a multi - coloured circle in the shy. Did you know white light is made up of 7 colours? Put a mirror in a glass of water in a dark room. And shine a torch on place a paper over it and break up sun's white light into a rainbow and then  you will  see seven colours.

What I found interesting was that he made a line with his Grandmothers jawbone.

My Samoan Art.

 What I found challenging. To not make any mistakes.

My favourite part. The arrow that pointed from my title on my slide to my picture.

What I found interesting. How Samoan people draw such amazing patterns.

In class we have been drawing Samoa art I did a flower pattern and is Zig Zag pattern.

 What I found challenging. To get the head in a perfect Oval

What I found interesting. I usually do shading most of the time but I actually found shading quite hard.

My favourite part. was my background because it matched my picture.

My Sprite.

 This week Mrs Torrie came into our class and showed us what a Sprite is and how to use Piskel to create our own. I choose to do a dark brown kitten, because kittens are one of my favourite animals. 

What I found challenging was to finish me art on time because the boxes were so tiny, then I figured how to make the blocks bigger, it It took me a while to make it.

I found it interesting that its called Sprite, because Sprite is a soda.

My Sprite is not finished yet it is supposed to be on a game and it should move and this is what I have done so far.
